What existed before the model ran?

Not a bench but the ground beneath them all. Browse the raw material every laboratory draws on — registered sources, acquisition events, frozen pools, and the raw data atoms — with each item's provenance and the interpretation bridges around it. Open it before trusting any result: what was acquired, what failed, what was sampled, and only then how it was read.

One namespace, four ways of seeing it.

The world-model shell over every bench: enter a laboratory as one bounded research namespace and read it through four canonical projections — SOURCE (raw + analysis), CONCEPT (meaning + hypotheses), SOCIETY (roles + rationale) and NOTEBOOK (the cronon-ordered history). A cluster is a Set, interpretations are plural (always “Why?”), nothing is erased, and moving between views passes a reference, never a copy.

Where does a text’s seam fall?

Trace the composition of a single text by measurement. A work becomes an ordered sequence of loci; the discontinuities in its feature matrix mark the composition seams between authorial strata. Where do traditions come from?

Trace how a body of knowledge emerges from many sources. The same loci are measured through many lenses — textual strata, chronology, concepts, traditions, materials, attestations, geography — and their boundaries overlaid: coincidences read as corroborated provenance, divergences held unresolved. Case: the Ayurvedic saṃhitās and their source-stemma.

Whose reading is this?

A historical image corpus — British Library book plates — held as a network of observations, provenance, and evidence, never a catalogue of facts. Every crop, segmentation, retrieval, and sampling choice is a machine observation attached to its source and traceable to the model that made it. The bench that keeps uncertainty visible.

What did each machine see?

A public museum corpus — Cleveland Museum of Art open-access works — where several vision models each observe the same picture and their readings are held side by side. The machine never says what the artwork is; it records what it saw, and every detection stays attached to its source and its model. Disagreement is kept, never resolved away — and the image binary is never stored, only a reference.
