Panchatantra Lion Makers

tale:panchatantra_lion_makers

Three learned but foolish friends find the bones of a dead lion and, to display their science, one assembles the skeleton, one clothes it in flesh and hide, and the third prepares to breathe in life. A fourth, who has only common sense, warns them and climbs a tree; they revive the lion, and it devours them. Moral: learning without judgment is deadly. — Panchatantra (attrib. Vishnu Sharma)
