Tellurium (Te): metalloid; key component of cadmium telluride (CdTe) thin-film photovoltaic panels (used by First Solar) and thermoelectric devices; one of the rarest stable elements in Earth's crust (~1 ppb); almost entirely a byproduct of copper anode slimes.
