Rhenium (Re): highest boiling point of all elements; critical additive in single-crystal nickel superalloy turbine blades for jet engines and gas turbines (improves creep resistance); almost entirely a byproduct of molybdenum smelting from porphyry copper deposits. Chile is primary producer.
