Helium (He): noble gas; used as cryogen to cool MRI superconducting magnets, quantum computing systems, and particle accelerators (liquid helium at 4 K); also for pressurising rocket fuel tanks, welding shield gas, and lifting gas. United States and Qatar are primary producers; non-renewable on human timescales (escapes to space).
