Manu, the first man, spares a tiny fish that begs his protection; it grows vast, and reveals itself as a saviour come to warn him of a world-drowning flood. At its bidding Manu builds a ship and, when the waters rise, ties it to the great horn of the fish, which tows him to a northern mountain peak.
